Xantia Brake pads [ which ones]
Hi, just got two prices from G.S.F. For rear Brake Pads [ Xantia ]. I was told the better ones are £ 21.50 a pair or cheaper ones £ 14.25 a pair . My question is: What's the difference? is it worth buying the more exspensive ones ? Thanks in advance, Terry .

Every one has an opinion in this, see my link below about front pads.

Re: Xantia Brake pads [ which ones]
those price's will be an axle set not just a pair of pads
the rear brakes dont do much work so i dont think it would hurt to use the cheaper option in this case, but never on the fronts

Rear brakes dont do much work... thats Not strickly true actually...
they dont apply as much effort. infact less then half effort if you have your boot is constantly empty.. which the average owner does... however.. my boot is constantly full of my tools.. and i find rear pads wear almost as quickly as fronts...
so. basically the more weight in the boot you carry the more they..
they do.. though even when empty , apply some effort..

Re: Xantia Brake pads [ which ones]
i do agree Paul but what i mean is IMO the fronts are more important to have good quality braking than the rear if you are on a tight budget,
all the rear wheels do is stop the back end dragging on the ground
