306Gti-6 engine into Bx16v

Has anyone done this conversion ? Would it be a reasonably straight forward job , I know there's a company doing the Gti6/Xsara Vts engine into the pug 205 , but obviously the Bx has the hydraulic pump to run , views please

Except on some sort of modified track car, why would you? It's heavier.

Just wondered if it was possible , just incase a Bx came up with a tired engine . The gti6/Xsara lump is more readily available also and with a six speed box too

On 306's the 6 speed box really restricts steering lock, not sure if the same issue would apply for BX's but it's something to think about. I'm pretty sure the power steering pump and hydraulic citroen pump is in the same place too but I'm not sure??

none of the guys in the club have tried it yet, mainly due to minimal increase over an Mi, bit torquier and Smidge more power, essentially it shouldnt be too tricky a swap, the 6sp box will poke in to the arch a little more restricting the steering a bit, but if one can be fitted to a 106 gti then bx engine bay will be no problem!!
mounting the pump would be the only issue, not looked at them both side by side to see similarities,
iirc the gti-6 lump runs without an air flow meter??

Cheers Timmo , got my eye on one but the engine maybe saveable , it's just that someone else has first dibs
