what does this part actually do?

part A, AIR RESONATOR, i ask as i have oil on the bottom of mine and im not sure where it came from :shock:

It's a resonating oil trap.

never had a citroen before, is that like an oil catch can?

im guessing these fill up with oil and can be emptied?
