Post by Timmo »

Morning guys,
just a quicky, which is the easiest method of defining what aircon compressor i have on the car?? is it down to a label or is it stamped/molded on the compressor as to what make it is?? if i can avoid climbing underneath it then that would be Great!! body's not having the best of days today!!

thanks muchly in advance

Timmo,

It's not that easy as they kept changing the pumps between sanden and delphi.

Even the piping changes with the the different models of pump for each make :?

What year is your Xantia will give an idea what make of pump it is :?:

If you have access to citroen services that will tell you what pump it is

Kenny, I had a good look around the pump and pulled the label that runs around the centre of the pump off as was loose from when I cleaned it all up last year, its a Delphi pump with harrison thermal systems written underneath, so answered my own question! Hehe,
Local hellfrauds had a 1725 belt but not the 1735, shame as they were a tenner! Local private place wanted £20! The other decent local shop had closed for the weekend, so gave up!
Will leave it till wednesday and use the car minimally,

I used my digital camera and took a pic of the label. Of course first some cleaning to get the label visible :)

If you have Sanden then it must be SD 7 V 16 model [refrigerant refill (+/- 25 gr) 875 gr].
Estate models have this bigger one.

Otherwise it is DELPHI V5 model [refrigerant refill (+/- 25 gr) 825 gr]
