FS - I really DO need to rehome 8ish CX's ASAP!!

Unread post by andmcit »

OK, I'm in an untenable situation regarding a barn I have quite a number of Cita stored away in and NO it's not the Autoshite one...

(don't even go there on that subject)

Upshot is, among the many are some Cx's that deserve to live although at this point as spares donors they'd certainly be better than being weighed in complete - most are runners but on SORN and requiring minor DIY fettlement!! I have very limited time to remove parts but would have a go if it's not time consuming - ideally I want complete cars to find buyers as I need to concentrate on saving other cars I plan on keeping long term.

x2 CX 2.5iE auto s2 saloons (1 silver 1 florentine red)
x1 CX DTR s2 estate with mechanical issues graphite grey blue
x3 CX 22TRS s2 saloons (x2 silver 1 florentine red)
x1 CX 2.4GTi s1 saloon in green met
x1 CX 2.4GTi s1 LHD saloon in swordfish grey - my first ever Cx (of many!!)

By all means ask away but be realistic about what you want and the time I have available!
These projects were deliberately incomplete as I did intend many happy hours DIY
fixing them with no intention to sell but needs must and disposal of these save the ones I want!

There are at least another 8-9 s1 XM's and a few Xantiae too.

Forgot to mention the 2.4's are manual box cars with a unique to the GTi final ratio.
Messed up the 22 TRS' - one red, one white and 1 silver - all saloons.

I used a 2.4 GTi box in my 2400ie Reflex Safari and it went like the stink.

From what I remember they had great interior but where total rotboxes, reason why very few left I suppose.

If I could find a diesel or TCT XM with a manual box, aircon that did/would work without too much hassle and decent strut tops, I might be tempted. It would have to not need a huge amount to get it through the MOT, as all my cars need to be T&Td for parking reasons. My drive is off the road, but on the road, if that makes sense. I have 3 spaces, but they are effectively on road, even though they are not..
