C5 wash/wipe taken over by poltergeist

Post by newtoc5 »

Hi everyone, I have recently bought a C5 2.0 HDi VTR estate (03). Great car in general but when I activate any wash/wipe function it goes crazy. Spray going for nearly a minute and wipers thrashing away long after they should have stopped. Also auto headlight feature can't be turned off. Hoping someone has experienced something like this. Thanks, Keith. :-D

Sounds like a com2000 fault which is the wiper/lighting stalk assembly. Might be worth doing a BSI reset first though as it costs nothing to try. The correct procedure can be found by using the search function on this site.
