C5 seats - are they all the same?

Post by Peter.N. »

I'm having a problem 'settling' into my C5 SX, if I have the seat back far enough to be comfortable, with my legs resting on the seat I have difficulty reaching the gear lever, never had this problem with the XM or the 406 which has a seat tilt adjustment, if the C5 had the same I'm sure it would be fine if I could lift the front of the seat up it would stop my legs flopping about, any suggestions?

Not sure on the SX, does the seat not go up & down? I have electric seats and you can raise or lower the front and rear of the seat interdependently.

Yes, it goes up and down but not the front and back seperately, the 406 does, that would be ideal, maybe I need some exclusive seats.

I know, I mentioned them a couple of weeks ago and someone from here bought them! I am just hoping some will come on a bit nearer home. I was going to look at the stoke on Trent ones on our way back from Scotland in a couple of weeks but I wouldn't have had room for them in the car with two of us a German shepherd and all our luggage, so if no others come up I will have to make a special journey which will make them a bit expensive.

You could try getting hold of a set of seats already fitted to a 2.0HDi 110 C5 Exclusive :-D

Far to expensive - good 2.0 Hdi estate, £1000.00 or less, set of seats say £150.00, a 2.0 Hdi Exclusive £2.500.00 there is a business opportunity here somewhere  I only paid £300.00 fo my 2.2Hdi and there is practically nothing wrong with it. It might even be worth putting them in that and keeping it. :?
