quick question?
had a good day today, managed to cut down Ella's smoking habit today, eventually traced to a loose pipe on the fuel return, one of the many perished derv lines..So i decided to treat her to some new door speakers(the origonals fit for the bin!) noticed double wiring going to each speaker terminal,,would i be correct in assuming these also feed to the small grill further along the door card(pointing upwards) for fitment of tweeters?

Re: quick question?
Mine has small Panasonic tweeters fitted there (behind the square grilles). I suspect they are not original fitment though.

Re: quick question?
I'll have to break out the literature again to see exactly what they were orginally for - you'd think they would be for tweeters but I've never seen some in there AFAIK...
Oh, welcome to the forum Babu!
What CX do you have? Any more info?

Re: quick question?
I have a low mileage D reg CX20RE estate but I've decided to break it and put the funds toward a less rusty diesel estate with an MOT, as mine has leaking hydraulics, bad rot in the sills / rear cross-member - as well as needing 4 new tyres (PO parked it on some grass for a few years - and the sun got to the tyres). It's a real shame.
Many years ago (1983) I toured France in a Series One CX, and have always wanted one 'some-day'.
I hope that the parts from my car can help keep some other survivors of this amazing breed of car on the road for a few more years.
If anyone wants my tweeters they are welcome to them...
