Xantia back arm bearing kit

Post by lancia58 »

Hi

Does anyone has experience ( quality wise ) with this Spanish kit from MC ( Metal Caucho )

http://mc.motorplan.biz/anyparts/embed. ... om&lang=EN" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

I had the opportunity to examine the kit’s bearings and they are brand less (nothing is coined on them ). So if anyone used this kit I’ll appreciate to get his feedback .

Thanks
Zohar

Theree are so many fake bearings apparently on the market now; it is no guarantee that because you see a name they are better.

Would the supplier tell you which country the bearings came from, if you asked?

On the kit box it is read "Made in Spain". Anyway I sent couple of Emails to MC and they never responded. I referred to some local garages and they said MC is of a good quality , but I prefer to get the impression of one that used it .

Thank

I had a look at the site but couldn't find a price to compare to the kit I've just bought for my C5. However mine is made by SKF and cost around £60, delivered.
I can dig out the website details if of any use?

This is the kit I got, a shade under £40 delivered. The bearings claimed to be Timken.

I don't know if they would ship to Spain or not, it's probably worth asking them.

Hi Richard

Was anything coined on the bearings so you can identify the origin of the bearings ?

I'm afraid I didn't look too closely, just handed them over to the mechanic who installed them. I think AEP is a reputable supplier though.
