Hello FCF members,
Whilst having Planet Peugeot connected up recently to connect my new alarm I happened upon the number of keys for the car which indicated 2. I only purchaesed the car recently and only have 1 remote key.
Question, If i were to purchased a new ID46 (t14 chip transponder), get a new key cut and get a second hand remote keyfob circuit, is it possible to make a working key for both the immobiliser (transponder type) and remote central locking/alarm using a second hand board (with matching circuit board number to the one I have currently) that can be programmed by planet Peugeot?
Can secondhand circuit boards be recoded to work on a different car with a new transponder chip?
Thank you in advance
Garry

As far as I can remember that's correct.
The actual tiny transponder chip *must* be new, the rest (circuit board etc) can be used.
You code the transponder in that's the immobiliser, the remote locking is something else, you can use used remotes for that.

Only used the "real" one a couple of times and that was the elderly one. I seem to remember you had to have *all* keys present as you would code them one at a time, certainly I remember asking customers to bring all the other keys in if they wanted a new one adding etc, as otherwise it (the old ones) would not work afterwards. I'm going back about ten years though so my memory is not that good

Any keys that are not coded in the same session are automatically 'forgotten'. They can be re programed back to the same car at a later date though.
