This might be my imagination
Some of the very last 2002 and 2003 Saxo's / 106 Diesels. The Saxo "appeared" to have a electronic advance pump and a large ECU atop (better than under I guess) the battery, where as the 106's still retain a mechanical advanced pump. I can remember the large ECU on the battery though. I know its got to go there as the expansion tank on the TUD lives where the petrol ECU would probably want to be.
Certainly I don't recall seeing an electronic advanced (same system as later XUD's I think, injector sensor etc) on a late 106

Actually I take that back, I've since seen a 106 with the ECU atop the battery. I've actually purchased it ( ) but more about that next week when I get my hands on it
