engine management light on

engine management light on

hi all iv had my 06 1.9dci renault grand scenic since november had no probs been a lovely car then yesterday a message flashed up on the dash "check emissions" the engine management sign has come up also the service light came on the car seems to run exactly the same ! any ideas please cheers

currently own renault megane grand scenic ( 1.9 dci privelige )
currently own renault megane coupe 1.6 16v

It could be anything putting the light on, you need a diagnostic check to give you the answer .

I had my 02 1.6 Petrol Scénic do this. It was a sensor within the emission monitoring that recorded a fault momentarily. I got the light reset and it never appeared again.
French is best.
