Hello Citronut and Lighty,
Thanks for the reply's super grateful for that, I am on the map for Lexia and PP2000, but not for Diag2000.
The 12th page of the installation booklet states:-
"The system is designed to integrate to the vehicle mulitplex system and therefore not operate until the "matching procedure" has been completed and the components are identified by th BSI.
To achieve this, it will be necessary to have the DIAG2000 diagnostic equipment equipped with CD 02.D or later.
Using the DIAG2000 system:
connect the diagnostic socket to the vehicle and follow insturction, blah blah CONSULTATION BY VEHICLE program
blah blah ACCESSORIES program
Blah Alarm option
Select other countries??????
Select interior trim and type of vehcile????
confirm parameters, alarm present , press NO button????
validate
CUSTOMER OPTIONS?
ALARM OPTIONS as PRESENT and the BELGIUM OPTION as ABSENT
Follow on-screen instructions to quit - the system is now configured."
Do i ever feel sorry for the people of belgium! Sorry about the blahs above but it seemed like an awful lot of work and unnecessary detail, but viva le France!
I havent ever been fortunate enough to have a go on DIAG2000 to work out why the trim level is important but I had previously retro fitted a ~T reg 406 HDI estate with the alarm components from a Coupe and switched the on via Planet Peugeot 2000 but as someone pointed out "clones" have the potential to fry the BSI i felt somewhat reluctant due to the thought my 206 could suffer (or theres a 50% chance it wont!!!

) .
So to clarify as long as PP2000 will change to present for alarm, trim etc?? it doesent specifically carry out any diagnostic on the car? and the matching procedure (no pincode with alarm) just switch it on and all should be well?
Also out of sheer curiousity, without imposing on you, if i dont feel like wanting to destroy my BSI where in Derbyshire are you and How much do you accept towards your favorite "Charity Beer supplier" to just "Switch it on"?
Please feel free to email, a very grateful Pug 206 owner
