i`ve a noise on the nearside suspension someone said it could be thedrop arm link but what is this.

If you would identify the car, it would be helpful but in answer, this is the part that connects the anti roll bar to the suspension lower wishbone. It is a common fault and GSF will have the part you need.

Its a bar with a ball joint at each end and it connects the suspension strut to the anti roll bar, in the early stages when worn they cause a light rattle, as wear progresses they begin to knock heavily.
Not expensive and easey to replace.
