Hi citroen c5 2.2hdi had a guy round to day with a lexia,
he said that i have got a over boost fault, any help how to fix thanks

Overboost can be caused by a lack of vacuum , so he waste gate doesn't open soon enough, look for split vac pipes, there are quite a few. Blocked PDF can cause it, look out for the swirl flaps linkage, these often break also.

ok thanks for the reply,the pdf has bin removed the swirl flap linkage seems ok
found one vac pipe split replaced, but still the same

The swirl valve linkage maybe o/k but the diaphragm in the actuator may well have holes in it causing a loss of vacuum, you really need to measure the vacuum to ensure that there are no leaks.Robert12 wrote:ok thanks for the reply,the pdf has bin removed the swirl flap linkage seems ok

The swirl valve and turbo control are on the same vac supply loss of vac will cause the turbo to go max boost.
Search on swirl valves and my name for more on this subject.
