I know they are fearsomely expensive from a dealer and that really just leaves the breakers.
Before you get one, often why they're gone is because the fixing studs have sheared or otherwise become too damaged to secure the tray. Check they're good before forking out.
I would expect the Synergie is similar to any other Citroen HDi of that era in that the try bolts to the rearmost part of the subframe using 10mm bolts and at the front to the front valance lip via a couple of studs that take 10mm nuts. It's these front ones that tend to shear off.
I'm sure one of us can get you the Citroen part number of the tray and a picture of how it is secured if that will help.
