Hi!
I think the suspension are hard.
New sperhes but not antisink and activa sperhes.
The electro valve sounds when I open the door.

Re: Bumpy Xantia activa
The Activa have 10 spheres, the anti sink one wont have much bearing but the Activa ram spheres do influence the ride quite a lot, mine felt much better after doing them. Are the new spheres to the right spec for the car? Did you do the middle soft spheres or just the wheel/corner spheres?

Re: Bumpy Xantia activa
A flat Activa Balancing Sphere will have the effect of keeping the suspension in permanent aggressive anti-roll mode Robin. Then the anti-roll bars are effectively very thick and heavy with massive detriment to the ride.
If the Activa Accumulator is flat then the pump will struggle to maintain adequate system pressure and this too can cause the suspension to be very hard as the low pressure will cause the anti-sink valves to close when they should not.
The Activa Balancing Sphere is a normal accumulator-type sphere pressurised to 30 bar. It lives on the rear subframe and can be very tight.
The Activa Accumulator lives under the battery tray and looks like an anti-sink sphere but is pressurised to 62 bar. You can fit a normal anti-sink sphere here without any great problem.

Re: Bumpy Xantia activa
You must use a proper sphere removal tool Robin. The sphere is tucked right up into the subframe and is not very accessible. It'll be tight too.robin92 wrote:How to remove rear activa sphere?
If really stuck, a hammer, cold-chisel and punch can be used with care to get it moving.

Re: Bumpy Xantia activa
It needs to be checked to eliminate it as a possibility Robin.
Don't forget if the ride height is wrong or the height correctors are not working properly the ride quality will suffer badly.

No. The Activa ride is rather harder than an XM and a conventional Xantia. The ride should be firm and taut but with softness too. It is very hard to describe. It really is like an ordinary Hydractive Xantia but just a bit firmer and just a little less comfy but of course without any roll.robin92 wrote: How should a Xantia activa feel on the road? like a xm serie 2?

Re: Bumpy Xantia activa
I have only drive a xm serie 2 and a xantia 95-96 I think it was without hydractive (dont remeber and it was the first citroen I drived) becasue no sport button but it was the steering wheel with controls and airbag and that was so soft on the road.
