Hi everyone
I'm looking for some advice about a Lucas injector pump on a 206 1.9d with a DW8 (WJY) engine.
when moving the load lever nothing happens for about 1.5cm I'm wandering if this is normal, the only other diesels I've had access to are old transit vans and they don't have this 'gap'
any thoughts as I've already asked every one I know who has any mechanical experience and no one has any ideas.

Is this the throttle lever you are refering to? Normally they have to be against the stop as that is how the tickover speed is adjusted but yours I believe is a semi electronic pump in which case the idling speed could be controlled electronically. In any case if it works alright I wouldn't worry about it.
