Right, my Xantia heater has decided to work periodically, where as it comes on sometimes was working fine a couple of days ago, now it doesn't sometimes usually when its cold, but I have noticed that the heated rear screen don't work either when this happens, press the heated screen switch and put the heating on and then theres a click from the fuse box, so i'm guessing it's possibly the relay if they are combined, so Q1 does a relay run both screen and heater blower and if it does where is it and can i get another one ????? many thanks,
Nelly

It sounds as though the power supply is intermittent to the heater, I believe there is an underbonnet fuse, there is in the XM anyway, and the fuseholder overheats and causes a poor connection.

Re: Xantia Heater Blower and Rear Screen
Mk1 or Mk2 Xantia?
Mk1 - the ignition switch is burning out, needs a relay inserting to take the load off the switch. I've got a wiring diag if you want.
MK2 - there is already a relay, but the power supply to it can ao awry sometimes. can give instructions as to how to check / rectify.
Post back if Mk1 or 2 and we can advise how to proceed.
