If i bought a C5

Would anyone be interested in doing the cambelt etc for me.

I would of course pay for parts and labour and travel to where ever you are, As long as it's not in China or somewhere..

PM me if anyone is up for it with an inclusive cost.
Just need to know in case i find a good car and can budget for it in my total cost.

I can't help you with your cambelt request, but what engine model and year C5 have you gone for?

Going to have a look at a 2004 /54 reg 2.0 hdi tomorrow, unless it sells before i get home from work.

best to do belt and water pump as its driven by the belt! fresh anti freeze is also throughly recomended...

your only about four and a half hours away.. come up.. go for a walk while i work to break it up and go home.. probably take about two hours or so to do....

Had a look at the C5 today, Pretty decent for the money apart from on the display, Anti pollution fault, The service light was on too but it supposed to drive no problem with no loss of power.

I did not take it for a drive.
I guess it would need diagnostics to pinpoint the problem so i walked away. Back to the drawing board..

Possibly not a deal breaker, as that has nothing to do with FAP system as its not got one. Its probably a sensor amiss somewhere. If you have someone local with a Lexia you could soon find out the fault and get it even cheaper.

As far as i know there is nobody near me with a Lexia. South Wales.. Never mind i am in contact with Andy f about his C5 he has for sale in the for sale section which you kindly posted some pictures for him.

Early C5's with faults on the display are the ones to bargain with! I bought a CD player from a local scrap yard, and bargaind it for a fiver as they said "... ah you need to get it coded mate..." - On with the lexia, plugged it in, sorted!!

So a NON Fap anti pollution problem should be an asy fix.. they are as no more different to the Xantia setup...

Should stock up with faulty C5's to go through...

Surely £180 or so on a cheap notebook plus Lexia, would be an investment? The kind of situation just described (lack of hard data) is exactly why I saw the value in one.
