Hi Folks, are there 2 types of front hub nuts for the Xantia? I have bought a replacement front wheel bearing kit for my Xantia 2.1TD but the new nut in the kit looks different from the one that is on the car. The nut on the car has a flange but the new nut in the kit has a collar. Has anybody experienced this difference?

Just refit the original - no need for a new one (unless some herbert has chewed it up!). I would use the type originally fitted in that case - the one with after market kit will be a generic one for the wheel bearing, and doesn't sound suitable for the Xantia.

Thanks Richard. The original hub nut is in good condition so I will do as you say and refit it.
