...as in 'normally' how many litres do you or can you get in?

i generally leave until light comes on & then fill, usually 60-65 l, depending on how soon i fill up.
most i've ever squeezed in was 68l with 2 pips showing on dash, squeeze bottom time

filled up at Truckhaven Carnforth, Esso fuel, not too sure how much remaining, maybe 30-40 miles, pump said 71.6l !!
i've questioned them about it even allowing for cold, denser fuel, awaiting phone call.

any thoughts apart from the obvious calibration?

Tank capacities given in the book are (Approximately) 66 L & 68 L depending on model but don't forget that's the tank not including the filler tube/neck etc.
The chances of a filling station pump reading incorrectly are pretty much nil, they're subject to regular periodic checks by the trading standards weights and measures dept and random spot checks in between.

I always wait until the car tells me I am low on fuel then fill right up.
I have fond the amount it takes to be decreasing somewhat if I fill it up within a few miles (sometimes I wait a couple of days, as this week, general CBA)
It used to take around 63~65L but now it is usually 58~62L.
The most I have ever managed was 72.4L.

ETA: 63.66L this evening - light came on on Sunday afternoon. 468 miles.
