hi there i have a c5 2.0 hdi lx 2002 and last night i went to start the car and the screen where the clock is came up with ECO-MOD and its never done that before do i need to be worried it only done it the once

most of the hdi cars have that on and only usually come on when radio is left on and turns off after a certain time.
Its just an energy saving device built into the car and turns off when you drive again.

Eco-mode is monitored by timing how long certain consumers are left on for with the engine off, it has nothing to do with the condition of the battery.

I often leave my car with the CD player running and it goes into economy mode after 45 minutes.
