Renault Laguna III Dynamique S , tourer

Post by bxzx16v »

Here's a couple of pics of my wifes replacement for her old Laguna II 1.9 Dci privelage tourer . It's a Dynamique S with the 175 Bhp version of the 2.0 Dci . It's got some nice standard equipment including electric heated seats which are fantastic in this cold weather , cruise control and some nice options such as a panoromic sunroof , front & rear parking sensors and is fitted with a gorgeous set of 18" alloys which are wearing 225/45/18 Dunlop Sp Sport Tyres . The old 1.9 Dci (120bhp) had plenty of torque and when needed could really pick it's heels up , this 2,0 Dci is really something else , refined , smooth and it doesn't seem too bad on fuel . I'll get some more pictures up when the weathers better and I've had time to give it a thorough clean and polish.

That looks really tidy Mark, the wheels do indeed suit it, as does the colour. Quite a nice spec and probably not too easy to find with it either.

Is that your 500 peaking out of the garage?

The Fiat 500 is my wife's , we've had it from new and it's only just done 5000 miles . It's the 500c with the retractable fabric roof , it only really gets used in the summer hence the mileage , fantastic little car with bags of character especially with the 1.3 Jtd multijet diesel . I could post some pics but I might get strung up on here [-X . Should I risk it ?

Ah, so its a nice day car. I bet few 500s are the diesel version, what power do they give out? Is it the Sport spec?

You might as well, I have pictures of a Volvo somewhere in my blog

It's the Lounge model and my wife has added some nice options on such as , full black leather interior , leather gearknob,16" alloys , chrome bonnet strip & "a" bar , side rubbing strips with the 500 logo and fiat 500 sill trims . It's also got the blue & me system as standard fit ( Bluetooth / USB ) . The 1.3 JTD diesel is the 75bhp version but the later ones put out 95 bhp . It's great to drive and amazing on fuel , the diesel engine suits the car perfectly as it's very lively and pretty nippy . I'll get some pics up in the week as it's in need of a good clean after taking over from our old laguna for a couple of weeks until we got another one .

As promised a few pics of my wifes Fiat 500c after a good clean .

The optional 16" alloys with 195/45/16 Bridgestone Potenza's , the ride is still bearable even with the bigger wheel & tyres .

There's a few positions you can have the roof , here one .

And now all the way back .

And now back to bed .

These little 500's are a great little car and I even considered getting an Abarth but I would have to sell the Zx which I couldn't bear to part with . Why don't Citroen get their act together and do another 2CV ? I'm pretty sure they would sell well if the price & styling was right , hope you like the pics .

Your 500 looks great! Nice choice of optional extras there 8-)

No doubt thy will become a very desirable collectable in years to come, I guess they are already starting to get that status.

I do like Fiat 500s, very funky design and different. They dont really suit my 6ft2-ness well though!

How are you enjoying the LagunaIII?

Loving the Laguna , the power on tap is quite surprising . It was definetly worth finding a 175bhp rather than the 150 bhp the tax is slightly higher but that's about it really . The mpg is pretty good too considering , our old 120 bhp dci would return in the region of 44 this time of year this one is around the 40 mpg mark . I would definetly recomend one to someone and they are very affordable too with production coming to an end . It may even make sn appearance at a show/meet so if you wanted a drive your more than welcome.

It would be very good to see you at a show!

Ive driven a 10 plate LagunaIII 2.0DCI 150 Dynamic Tom Tom Tourer (not somehting you can say quickly is it!?). Have to say I was impressed with its drive, for a large French car I found it quite a sporty thing, very direct steering, which impressed me the most. Ive not spent much time with a LagunaII so I can't compare but I did like the III.

I guess yours is keyless entry and all the bells and whistles?

Yes it's got the keyless entry and the wife loves the heated seats as she has a back problem . As you say the steering is very direct for a big car . It's missing a few bits that our old privelage had but then it's got features that didn't have too . I must admit I didn't think I would like the electric handbrake but after a couple of weeks with it I find it very useful , just flip the button on at some lights etc and when ready to go just pull away and it releases automatically .

Just to add, and I hope Chris don't mind me saying........that Laguna is better looking than any C5 I have seen.
