vts alarm

Hi, i have just bought a vts when i bought it the alarm was unpluged i pluged it back in and when i got home it went off after about ten minutes so i unpluged it and nowvits stil going off but without the sound. I have tried the sensor button on dashboard. Is there anyway to disconect these alarm as i have realised they are pretty poor and unreliable. Any help would be much apreciated thanks Alan
