307 PARTICULATE SYSTEM prob's

Unread post by citronut »

this car is a 2005 307 HDI 110 in limp home mode with 18MPH on the display,

i have had the FAP out and steam cleaned it and the cat (not jet washed), and attemted to fill the fluid tank,
this would not take any fluid at all.

PUG PLANET now comes up with fault code P1445( PERMANENT FAULT ADDITIVE SYSTEM QUANTITY OF ADDITIVE TO HIGH )
how do i remove some of the fluid, if thats what is required, it seems this car does not have a particulate fluid ECU,
as PLANNET kept saying ECU NOT RESPONDING

or is it all a red kipper

also will a forced regeneration help,

regards malcolm

I'm not familiar with these as this all started after I'd left.

Although its probably no help, can you not (carefully!) syringe some of the fluid out of its tank via its filler ? , does it not have a small additive tank near the fuel tank ? , I know its not very nice stuff to say the least.

I would of thought a force regen would work too as it will use up some fluid doing that. Not heard before of it complaining about too much fluid though, not sure why it would do that as far as I understand it, it just uses a tiny bit every now and again.

thanks Andy
you fill it through a plastic pipe coupled to one of the pipes at the back of the tank, via a conecter you get with the instalation kit,

it spozd to shoot a shot into the fuel tank every time you put fiel in/open the filler cap, also dependant on how much fuel you put in from what i have read,

here is a lonk to an explanation on how rge sysrem works from PSA

Probably the 1.6hdi that has Particle filter ECU and Engine ECU combined , after cleaning filter did you tell car with pp that it had a new filter and did you reset the counters for the additive?

This is a common problem on the 407"s,as well as 307, unfortunately I dont know why.
However if you go into the engine or Particulate system (cant remember which) and tell it you have replaced the particulate filter and the Elloys ecu, the fault will go away.

Think thats what he means , new DPF and reset counters ,
No other fault codes at all ?
Check parameters on the turbo?
No faults in the ABS?

ps check configuration to see if there are any missing in the ABS ecu , if it has it will limit power .
