I think that on a C5 the button is on the right of the steering column.

Keep it pressed for five seconds to shut it up more or less permanently.
If you stall the engine or turn it off and restart within 20" then TrafficMaster will pipe up again until silenced.

When it does pipe up it does so LOUDLY, which makes it even more annoying. Especially if the car's just stalled, you're trying to get into a parking space, people are waiting to get by, you can never quite find the button (you get the picture). So I'm trying to shut the thing off permanently - can't find the power feed to it yet, and don't think a Lexia option exists either. If I work it out I'll post here, unless someone else has the solution :?:

Why not turn down the volume? Press the Trafficmaster button to get iito volume mode then press the button again when it's at it's lowest volume, one.

I've disabled it in both the Xantia and C5. In both cases the unit was behind the glovebox. You have to cut the power supply rather than unplug it altogether because the speakers run through it.
