Shed of the Week

Unread post by robert_e_smart »

Yet again, the CX features as a Piston Heads Shed of the Week.

This time I have the... erm.... honour with my Croisette!!

Quite nice comments there, I'd say. Aside from the unimaginative dullards who name themselves 'Escort Si', AudiA3' and 'VolvoT5'. Wonder what dreary vehicles they drive...?! :-)

I love the TRS. My 89 model was a wonderful and simple thing - none of the electrical irritations of the GTi I had - used to work in Reading at weekends and Newcastle Upon Tyne during the week so spent much of my time going up and down the A1. Never missed a beat, that car. Rust killed the old thing, sadly. It was white. I'm told a late white CX was bad news due to crap paint, although whether this is true or not...

 Some of those comments on there about CXs are quite ludicrous - I'm resisting to comment back at them...

I'd like to see their opinions once they've been one...

Hopefully you'll get a sale though all of the publicity though Robert - you never know!! :-D

It's also a really nice description of the car, by the way.

As my Prestige won't be back on the road until at least summer, I thought about a stopgap XM. Always fancied one and so enquired about a decent but cheap example on Ebay recently. The description was really vague (and badly written) so I sent a really polite message to the seller explaining I was a Citroen man and asked if the car had service history or bills. His reply was simply - and I quote: "Yes it come with plenty of paperwork".

Well that doesn't mean anything, does it? Decided not to buy on the basis the seller wasn't the kind of person I'd WANT to buy a car from.

Probably for the best... all my spare cash is going on the CX. Best place for it :-)

Jim, You should buy it! I'll take your Activa in for a direct swop! I am confident in the Acitva spares market!!!!

James, if you fancy a nice XM 2.1 TD Manual, give me a shout!

I hope this helps it sell, as I quite fancy Dom's GS, and this would need to go to liberate funding and some space!
