HP PUMP ALIGNMENT

Post by KennyW »

Hi Guys,

My pump is out of alignment with the rest of the Aux belt pulleys.

On fiddling this morning it would appear the spacers are preventing it to sit correctly

Item No 5

Has anyone any suggestions, i was thinking about reducing their size or changing the type of 'nuts'.

I had the same problem. It seemed like fiddling with the spacers would help but it didn't.I got a S/H pump for a HDi through ebay and it fitted perfectly.A few months later we needed a pumpfor a 1.9TD at work.My old pumpfitted perfectly.Maybe you have the wrong pump fitted?

Hi all,

Just confirmed from service citroen site

HP pump 2.0 HDi 90hp 4007Y6
HP pump 1.9 TD 90hp 4007T7

Also the brackets which hold the HP pump, alternator and Fuel pump are of a different design hence the alignment problem.

Hi All,

As anyone got both types of brackets off the vehicles concerned and can measure the distance between them.

My curiosity has got the better of me.

Also is the 110 the same as the 90 (2.0 HDi)

did you enter you chassis/VIN No. whilst you were on service citroen, as that should give you the exact part No. for the bracket that is ment to be on your car,

then if your lucky you might find a part No. on the bracket that you have

Hi Malcolm,

I've still have the chassis no of my 1.9TD so i can do a direct comparison.

I was just wondering if anyone had both types stting around :) doing nothing so they could mearsure the distance between the brackets where the HP pump is connected.

I'm going to try and remove the spacers and insert washers of the correct size and see what happens.

It's worth noting the correct orientation for assembly is NOT as shown in the SC diagrams. This is the correct way round for the flanged expanding sleeves:

Hi All,

I've just spoken to Martin @ Pleiades and he has clarified the issue with the HP Pump.

There is a diference of 5mm between the pump and the pulley hence the alignment issues.
Otherwise the pump internals are the same
