Daft question
I was wondering whether it would be possible to modify a semi electronic Bosch injection pump to a fully mechanical one? Has anyone tried? The old pumps are getting hard to find.

Not unless you have a mechanical one for parts - in which case you might as well fit it. They use mechanical pumps on a lot of cars, Xantia, ZX, BX and 405 to name but a few.
