THE X RALLY - 15th April 2012.

The all new CCC X Rally is going to be held on the 15th of April. Pretty much all info is above however this is a rally that lots of people have been asking for and it's been put into action - therefore please support it! Although it is mainly for models with an 'X', of course anyone is welcome.

If you're not familiar with Burghley please see there website, and I'm sure that anybody that attended the East Midlands get-together there last year will agree that it's a lovely place and the fine food market was excellent too.

So, who's up for it then?

I used to go to Rutland Water (nearby) on a regular basis and know some very good driving roads in that area, if you're arranging a convoy route and want a few pointers give me a shout.

<shudder> I still break out in a cold sweat even now after organising the CXM convoy drive last year I think my nails have just about grown back...

I will try and get to that one - it's very close to Kettering where my son has just bought a house, will do double duty and drop in on him (and fix his shower, no doubt).

Thanks for that info Richard, however (probably much to Jim's relief) we don't plan to have a convoy at the X Rally mainly due to it being just the one day event and there's going to be plenty for people to do due to the location.

However, there was some mention today of the East Midlands Group organising another convoy run (last year was Wells-Next-The-Sea) to somewhere like Rutland Water or Belvoir Castle etc. I'll certainly bear that in mind Richard and I'll be in touch if needed... Thanks.

A good point was made by Phil on the CCC Forum that I thought should be clarified for all:

Ah, good point made Phil! No, the CXM and Xantia Rally will still be held - I know that the ICCCCCCCR has made some Section's Rallies mean that they will be either cut down or not even on at all, however the CXM and Xantia Rally will be running from August 31st to 2nd September.
