Right, a machanic I know has had a look at the Activa that's for sale in Nottingham. It had a few issues and I wondered what the general feeling was. It has a leaking rear rear Activa ram, an oil leak from under the front (looks like LHM) needs two new front tyres and a good cleaning. Oh, and two new rear spheres.
It's got a bid of £360 on it. Worth going for?

Re: Advice regarding Spanish Activa.
The rams can be repared if your half handy, the front leak could be anything but so long as its low pressure return leakage thats fine, at £360 its still very cheap really.

Yes, as Chris says, ram leaks are not the bogey they used to be and are in general straightforward to repair, the rear ram being the easier of the two as no lathe is required!
The rear ram bush is not an issue either...
The front leak would only be a major headache if t were from the Power Steering supply pipe, the one with the rubber section in it. The pipe is getting on for being NFP now and fitting a new one is a bit of a sod.
There's a buyers guide down in the Activa Section. It may be a tad out of date now as I wrote it before fully nailing down how to repair rams.
I drove a very quick modded Activa today. By golly a good one is good
