Xantia S2 Different Anti roll bar types

So anyone know why?? What sort do YOU have?

Two types are fitted, one has a 90deg joint each end, the other has one 90deg the other end is straight..

I discovered this when I ordered one recently for the green HDi SX W reg... they asked which type.. so I said oh late car ill just check on mine and mine, V reg HDi Exclusive was 90deg BOTH ends..

When I come to fitting the part on the W reg, I was surprised to find it had the other type, 90deg and straight on....

So S2 HDi owners when you get a mo have a peep or feel which type you have..

I have a theroy though... LX and SX Ordinary suspension cars have the 90deg and straight end links, and Exclusive Hydractive cars use 90deg and 90deg links....

Right? Wrong?? W.H.Y.?

Oh? Just like you I always believed all late S2s had the two 90 degree ends Paul How odd...

My HDi certainly does but New V6, a very early S2 on an R plate, has the 90 degree at one end only...

My 2000 SX has 90&90

service.citroen says changed at RP 8150 (03/03/99) - no distinction on suspension type (well except Activa which appears to always have used the straight on type). Later one is also used on the C5. In my experience the later one is longer lived - mine are just getting unacceptably noisy at 125k, whereas the older type used to struggle to get to 60k. Suspect your 'younger' car, Paul, had sat around for a while before being registered...check the RP nos!

Ah right.. Just checked.. My v plater has 90 deg both ends.. And is 8163 rp number...

So which way did it go..?? From 90 deg both ends to straight and 90 or other way??

It went TO 90 degrees at both ends Paul.

So the w reg car is an older car that sat waiting to be registered and appears to be newer thrn mine.. Ill check the rp on the w plate next time im with it..
