Xantia 2.1 td dipstick?

When I bought my car the dipstick was missing (oil) well not so much missing, but missing the top part so I dont know how far it needs to be pushed in as there is no stop/plastic lug, my question is, is the 2.1 dipstick the same as a 1.9 dipstick as finding a 2.1 XUD is a bit of a nightmare in a breakers, or can anyone point me in the right direction of a new one?

I believe the 2.1 dipstick is unique to the engine, new ones aren't expensive IIRC about £7 from a dealer.

DickieG is right - it's not shared with any other engine. Same part is listed for Synergie and XM II 2.1TD. Part No 117431 / £10.36 INC VAT
