I'm researching buying a Lexia 3 to communicate with the 56 reg C3 I've just bought, as I understand it V42 is the software to have in order to have the greatest functionality but all the sellers I can find only supply V46 or V47, does anyone know of where V42 can be obtained?
On a similar matter I'd like to have the facility to code keys with Lexia 3, anyone know if a Chinese Lexia 3 can do this?

I have a copy of a v42 disk, but I can't access it until the new year.

If you could run me off a copy of it that'd be brilliant Mike, no rush on my part as I haven't bought the hardware yet.xantia_v6 wrote:I have a copy of a v42 disk, but I can't access it until the new year.

Re: Lexia V42 software
Ive used my Clone to Programe a key to Lock/Unlock a Xantia S2.....but couldn't do it to start as the Blade was different to the lock....
It worked a treat.. I need to try again as a car I sold to a customer had two keys but one has been "Forgotton" so it needs re programming.. I think my Lexia Software is V42.. IIRC... Im too scared to update it as Ive heard of operation termination after upgrade.

Re: Lexia V42 software
I've been doing research on the subject and 'Wheeler' suggests V42 offers the greatest functionality so I'm taking that as a given as he's suggested it, best to leave yours as it is Paul.

Re: Lexia V42 software
I work with two ex Citroen techs, one of which recently started with us. He tells me V45 is the best version to use.

As long as you don`t update further than version 5.28 on diagbox you`ll be ok
For what we are about to receive may we be truly thank full.

Re: Lexia V42 software
If you dont need to comunicate with the very latest models and you don't have a dealer login & password then slightly older versions are better, there were quite a few changes to Lexia after v42 that means not so good if you are not an authorised dealer.
