Xantia 1.9TD 1996 - Brake light fuse position?

Unread post by romie »

Hi, I'm looking through the owners handbook and I can't find the brake light fuse position.

Any ideas?

Thanks

On a MK1, F12 in the passenger cabin fusebox...

This fuse runs a lot else besides. Aircon, Reversing lamps, instrument lights and the water temperature indicator light...

Just been looking at the fuses myself. Haynes says F28 for cars upto 1998.

So it is

F28 for cars up to very late Mk1 I'd say.. I was looking at the wiring diagrams for the last model year MK1 to see F12! It's F12 on all MK2s but you're quite right, on a 1996 car it'll be F28..

Late MK1s do in fact have some of the MK2 electrics... That's my excuse and I'm sticking to it

Don't be silly - you can't be expected to remember everything! I only knew cos I'd just had my nose in the book looking for a fault on my car. I'm never sure if "upto 1998" means my car or not so I looked at both fuses.
