Xantia Stereo Question

Hey all,
does anyone have any idea if the cable in the link below will function correctly with the xantia mk2 clarion stereo?

Now, i pulled out the aux cable to 3.5mm plug from the old kenwood unit in the wifes car and tried it on my hu in the xant, sadly it didnt work! Cant remember what it said on the screen though! Something like 'connect'
