C5 Drop Links

Hi Guys once agian...!

I'm now back on the FCF once agian after selling my XM ( the one that Phil bought back from the alps) and on to selling my beloved Bx and buying a Volvo V70 estate which I ran for a while, before having withdrawal symptoms of having the pleasure of hydraulic suspension and ride comfort.

I have two days ago purchased a 52 plate C5 2.2 HDI Auto estate, and I must say the C5 in my mind is a lovley car ...

But today have noticed that it has developed a loud knocking noise on the front end over bumps, it does not do it in slightly on lock.

Now my question is would this be down to the drop links ?? before I go and tear the garage apart where I purchased it !!

Not having any of these changed in the past or show signs of ware in the past..

Any adivse on this would be greatflully receieved

Yes its fairly common on C5s to have the drop links go. Cheap replacements last no time at all, Citroen ones last so much longer.

It's been a long time since iv'e been here.

Thanks for that ! I'm am terrible with names, but is that Paul ? , I we met at Little Horwood a year ago when you helped me with my XM by putting your Nexia on it !!

Hope iv'e got the correct name..

I will contact the garage tomorrow, and get it booked in

Sorry as I Said i'm terrible with names..

I was there in 2009/2010, my Xm was the one that Phil saved from the alps, a burgandy mataliC 2.0 TCT .

I will try to get some pics up if I can remember how to do it !!
