C5 Lexia Boo-boo

Post by sonoramicommando »

Ok so I managed to install lexia and hooked it up to the car. Checking out parameters and feeling my way around it.
Until I got to BSI learning - wheel pressure sensor programming. I thought i'd check it out but once i got in the menu, there was no way out (F9) so I figured i'd try out programming anyway thinking nothing would happen (there was some story about using some machine to program it or whatever). next thing i know is the car s telling me its missing 4 sensors.
Is there anything to restore the previous setting via lexia or do i have to go to a dealer and get it sorted?
cheers,
sam

You should be able to reconfigure BSI to see the TPM ecu again, sounds as if you just turned them off.
For what we are about to receive may we be truly thank full.

^ you think i need to play around with it more?
anyway, i vaguely remember somewhere in the configuration saying that tyre pressure sensors are missing.
trouble is, i dont know how to turn them on again - to be honest, i dont know how to do anything with lexia.
i also erased a bunch of fault codes, some came back soon as i ran the diagnosis again though. (i was trying to enable cruise control). now auto transmission wants to hold on lower gears longer than it used to.

Go into BSI , look for ECU`s present , scroll down to TPM and see if its marked absent , select present then reconfigure , don`t change anything else unless you know what it is .

i think im screwed. tried to reconfigure, i couldnt find the menu to enable it for a starter (but did find somewhere that saying they are missing - no option to change parameters there though). i went in somewhere else in the config, all my wheel identifiers were 00000000000, maybe that's something i managed to erase.
(actually i should try to get some screen dump)
secondly, it says i need some code - which i dont have to change configurations (i dont know if its the same one as the credit card code but i dont have that either).

most probably have to go to a dealer, i think - i have to get a key cut and programmed as well as have CC & ESP looked at as well anyway.

epic fail. =(

You should be able to sort out thr problem yourself, if you find the right menus etc.

Where are you? If you live close to a Lexia owner with a bit more lexia knowledge that might be of use?

^ i keep forgetting to update my location.
yes - getting into the right menu would definitely help. it's not very intuitive - it'd be helpful if there s a general user guide someone s written up.

update - i disabled the TPM ecu for now so it doesn't hassle me about the missing sensors. i've gone thru previous threads regarding programming TPM and i gather something called Portoctair is needed as well as Lexia.

next issue - im trying to clear BSI fault code (worn wheel emitter/battery or something like that) and i can't clear it until i read the fault log. and when i go into the BSI fault log Lexia crashes. there are two options for BSI fault log, one by chronological order, the other by frequency. chronological log crashes Lexia altogether and exits the application, on the other hand frequency log just hangs and does not respond, the only way out seems to be quitting windows.
anyone had the same problem? its v45 off torrent.

I've not used a Lexia, so just a thought:
If the emitter battery is flat, presumably the ECU can't interrogate it, which may be a preliminary to reading the log.
In other words, perhaps you need to correct the fault before attempting to clear it.

but i can read the (current) fault, not the log. i cant understand why i cant read the log - which i d take it as a record of all the faults diagnosed previously.

update - turned on daytime running lamp option, seems to work - incidentally, auto headlight cannot be activated or deactivated using LH stalk push button.

now i need to turn on the footwell lighting option (when doors are opened) - for some reason it disabled itself when i was fiddling with BSI configuration/learning. does anyone know where i can enable it?

also, i want to change from auto wiper to intermittent setting, because the rain sensor s a bit funny and most of the time auto wiper runs at twice the speed as the 1st speed setting regardless downpour or drizzle.

thanks in advance,
sam
