R.I.P. Xantia - or not?...

Unread post by swiss_steve »

Hi all,

A sad day for me - I've got to let my beloved Xantia go; either for parts or possible project.... http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/270859725370? ... 1555.l2649

.... breaks my heart....

Its breaks me too! WHY O WHY are they ALWAYS SO FAR AWAY! :x :x :x :x

Looks very tidy, I hope a scrap man does Not buy it to simply weigh in to make a quick buck! Looks far too tidy for that!

Can you deliver to North Wales??

Hi Paul,

Hmmm.... North Wales - that is a long way off! By the time it's delivered, the travelling costs will be as much as the sale price of the car (although I'm really not sure what the auction will bring, but I do know what the scrappy will pay...).

Yes, it's very tidy (as I don't like untidy cars; bad for my business image) and has faithfully got me to and from Switzerland many, many times without so much as a skip of a beat (modesty permits me to say that I do maintain my cars perhaps to obsession).

Besides, looking at your profile signature, you've already got 7 cars; are your starting a citromuseum?... :-D

Thats because I buy, sell, repair, look after, repair and sell them.. and try and rescue when possible, but the nice ones are always too far away..

Thats a point my Signiture needs updateing, the V6 Exclusive has gone, part ex'd with a HDi 90 Xantia with FSH.. and Ive just about sold my Black SX TD anti sink too... and the X reg SX HDi has sold, albeit also with a Part Ex which may have sold too...

Ive a customer with an ole Sinker Hatch and they want to up grade and Ive been trying to get them an Estate, but they may well fall into a Picasso..

No, it sprang a leak on the hydraulics, just as I was about to bring it back for the eBay sale.

Now it's definitely scrap! :(

Not necessarily. Where did it spring a leak from Steve?
