C5 LDS tank removal

Hey guys

My tank's cracked or split so I need it out. I've removed the nuts but I can't lift it out. The piece on the bottom of it that goes into the metalwork is holding it in place.
Is that piece just going into a hole or is there a pipe going through it?
Any tips on how to pop it out? I've tried a screwdriver but that was useless :-/

You need to remove the under wing plastic guard, there is a pipe underneath and the hose clip is just below the metal panel, the hose goes down to another joint lower down which is the best place to drain the tank from.

Ok, cheers mate. Is the plastic screwed in place? Where abouts are the screws? I had a feel about but I couldn't feel anything...

It depends on if it's original or been done before, if it's original I think you'll find push in plastic clips hold it, if it's been out before it's possible that some of those have been replaced with a variety of screws and nuts etc.

I just couldn't find anywhere to pull it from when I tried before. Do you pull it from the bottom corner where it's in the bottom of the bumper?

Maybe this will help, number 10 is the plastic mudguard and 12 is the clips that hold it. It's flexible enough to twist out from under toe wing but ylu need to feel your way through.
