2004 CITROEN BERLINGO multispace HDI has it got a FAP filter

Hi,
can any of you engine gurus tell me if a 2004 berlingo with a 2.0L 90 HDI engine would have a FAP filter.

I may be interested in buying one of these berlingo's and may well just steer clear if it has the dreaded FAP.

How can I tell if it does or doesn't have one?

No FAP on that engine. You can tell by looking underneath - for the large bit in the exhaust with pipes going to it.

Thanks for the reply, I'm trying to avoid a vehicle that has a FAP filter as I've read & heard nothing but horror stories about them.

The later 1.6 HDi doesn't have a FAP either, having owned both 1.6 and 2.0 versions the 1.6 is much nicer to drive, picks up quicker at lower revs and gives 4 mpg more as well.
