Xsara fuel filler flap

Hi,

After carelessy managing to snap off the filler flap on my car (MkII estate) a while ago , I have now acquired a secondhand matching replacement.

Does anyone know if it is possible to remove/replace the flap from the outside (and if so how the plastic shield around the filler neck is removed) or do you have to go in from the wheel arch and pull the wheelarch liner out?

Any advice gratefully received (apart from the obvious "don't snap your filler flap off...!")

im not sure without looking, cant you ask whoever took the replacement flap of that you have
