Xantia lift pump - different models?

Clearly my car is sulking at me - who'd have thought a failure to get a new key would annoy it so much?

Anyway the lift pump has died - pretty obvious, it whirrs when it's not in the tank, submerge it and it won't whirr, and I hear this isn't uncommon.

Question is, are there different sorts of lift pump? W reg Xantia Hdi 90.

Theres the DERV ones and Petrol ones...

Petrol ones are about 30 quid, DERV ones are about 100 quid... HDi 90 or 110 pumps in the tank are the same.. They are a Bosch unit.

I believe all HDi lift pumps are the same, the cheapest I could find when I was looking out of interest recently was £125 delivered from Neat Autos.

Ta for the confirmation. Got one from ebay for 120 quid delivered, now fitted and car all working again.

Be positive that top ring is sure tight or else next time you fill up you will find out the expensive way... You can check if its tight enough by pressing down on the pump if it moves down its not tight enough and you will have a flood next fill up....
