Weird!
Works in Opera and when pasted directly into the navbar but doesn't show up on the standard official Citroen website - DS5 doesn't exist yet on there?

The word censor was messing up the URL by correcting Citroen :D
I've fixed it by replacing the URL with a tiny url link.

DS5 looks like a Focus that has fallen on it's roof.

I bought this weeks AutoCar as it has a drive of the DS5 in it. I started reading it but lost interest when it said its based on a stretched version of the C4 platform ... no hydropneumatic suspension! I didn't think it would have mind, I would actually be surprised if the next C5 has it, I can see Citroen dropping it very very soon. Its already started to dissapear. :(

I quite like the look of the front view but the side and rear profile don't sit well with me at the moment.
It took me a while to warm to the DS4 but I quite like that now, some very nice options on that, I do like the watch strap leather seats.

Don't you think it's unfair that one hole in your watch strap gets all the action?
Honestly, a silly choice of buzzword for some interior detail. PSA are trying to have it both ways; this is a car with zero relevance to the Dee other than cravenly borrowing a name - yet they feel this is sufficiently relevant to sales prospects?

The Dee was about space, lightness, vision, supple ride. This thing is just a fitted sock with a motor.

I notice the AutoCar test comments that the ride quality could be better ... a huge dissapointment, bi Citroens should ride well. For a motoring mag to comment on a poor ride, it must be bad!

Is it really all that big? Compare wheelbase to a Xantia or Dee. Looks the size of a C4P.

Im not sure on dimensions, its based on a stretched C4 chassis so it will be getting on for C5 size I would think.

I think the DS branding is a bit of a con, I can see why Citroen would create an up-market sideline though.

According to the 'net (caveat scriptor! ) -
• Dee 3124mm
• CX Préstige 3100mm
• Xantia 2740mm
• C4 Picasso 2730mm
• C5 III 2820
• C6 2900mm

• DS5 apparently 2730-odd mm

apart from the conventional suspension, maybe something to do with the current vogue for large wheels and low profile tyres
