Rear height corrector problems

Post by caspm »

Hello.
I have a little problem with my Xantia 1.8 8v 95.
Yesterday when I set the suspension height control to max. the car raised as it should. Then to the min. and it lowered as it should. But when I set the suspension height control to normalposition it would not rais (from min.) og lower (from max.) Do anyone know what to do?

You're going to have to get under the car so get it up and well supported on axle stands. Have a look at the height corrector which is just forward of the spare wheel carrier. There's a small plastic clip fixed to ball joints. See if it's all attached properly. Give the moving parts a spray with WD40 and then with spray grease. Try to raise and lower the suspension several times. Your problem could be solved - but maybe not.

Dear JohnD.
Thanks. It seems to be a little plasticarm that controls the height, and it had fallen of. Now it works again, but I have to get a new one from the local Citroengarage.
