See attached pictures below regarding damage that I caused when removing the pump off my breaker. (Didn;t realise I had done this until just )
Going to get a Tap and Die set on the thread, and file down the "dent" on the metal itself. Just wanted to make sure that it's not going to cause any issues when its refitted.

That'll be fine Dave, The treads does not look too bad to me and as long as the dent is filed and the pump will fit very snugly in the cradle then all will be fine...
When doing the thread, the most important thing is that the nut can be done up moderately tightly and that it will hold. Diesel pumps vibrate a lot and any nut that's not well dome up can vibrate loose. That applies to the flange nuts too...
A dab of Loctite will be a good insurance...
