Change Xantia MkI front end to MkII?

Unread post by Stekelly »

I've a damaged bumper and slam panel on my Activa, aswell as the wing, bumper and grille being red. So, should I have access to parts, is there much swapping to make it a MkII front end? The main problem I'm thinking is the bonnet catches and lock? Or will this all be grand once the slam panels etc are swapped round?

Anyone done this before?

Cheers

You'll neee to replace:
Wings
Bumper
Bonnet
Slam panel
Headlights

There may be more, but I think that's it.

That first bumper in my post should say bonnet :-). If the wings are the same then the passenger side one will stay where it is, otherwise I'm sure I could change both.[/img]

They are wide like S1 Activas and 2.1TDs, but if memory serves the angle around the indicators is different.
I can double check when I get home tonight.
If it's the case, then indicators will need changing too.

S2 indicators are definitely different, they are more racked/streamlined than S1's as per the headlights.

Hmm where are these back ups when I GET TOLD S1 and S2 wings are the same...

I advised someone before about S1 and S2 wings and then I got told they are the same as they had been there then selfs!!

Im convinced the S2 indicators will not fit S1 wings..

I know and remember who told me too!! :x
