306 missing
Hi, my wifes 306 petrol. When travelling up through the gears the car pulls lovelly. then in fith gear, 60m.p.h. or more, the car will sudenlly miss a beat, it mght go another mile and miss again. anyone got any ideas . cheers Terry.

I wonder if its the start of coil pack failure. Do you have a coil / leads or a pack across ? , I think the later TU's have a plugin 'pack' on the back.
You say 5th at around 60, does it do it at say 50 to 55 in 4th ?

It could be an ignition problem as the coil produces a larger voltage/spark when the engine is accelerating so weakness can be overcome during acceleration. At cruising speed the voltage/spark will be much smaller.
