C5 modifications?

Post by SaabC5 »

Had anybody here added their own little personal touch to their C5 to make it different from others? I'm not talking mesh and big wings here, just subtle styling mods that mark your car out as different. Just as an example, i spent a couple of hours yesterday fitting led side markers on mine, apologies for the picture quality but the camera phone doesn't like dusk shots. :x

My bodywork has been subtly remodeled by a specialist with a shopping trolley - nothing chavvy you understand. I think it makes it look quite distinctive.

No pictures as I have temporarily swapped it for my daughter's Punto.
They could at least have let me have the GT Cloverleaf for the weekend. Wouldn't have been sat her in front of a computer that's for certain.

No mods to mine, though I imagine a dark coloured XM with slightly tinted rear windows would go down a treat.

Very amusing Steve!

Shame we didn't see you at this years rallies, or a least the ones I went to. Liking the new avatar!

Thanks Kev, I'm afraid that circumstances and distance prevailed against my being among you, much as I would have liked to.
Next year, hopefully.

I saw one with a touring car style spoiler yesterday. To say it didn't suit would be an understatement! Saw one on a Laguna on Friday too. (Same applied to that).

There are C5s around (but rare) with bodykits, oddly often seem to be base LX spec. I did see a white Exclusive for sale on the net recently which had a full body kit (Citroen kit I think), quite possibly one of th emost hideous things ive seen and I AM a fan of the C5Is styling!

Ive not done any mods with mine, I have fitted chrome indicator bulbs to take away that orange tint to the indicators when they are off, fitted a tiny C5 stubby ariel (doesn't work great, I swap between it) and thats it. I always fit mudflaps to them if they don't have them but thas hardly a mod.

My C5II is currently wearing C5I Exclusive SE alloys but thats not a mod either, it does suit them though.

An interesting idea with the side markers, Volvo-esk!
